Marie Howe
Howe's first book, The Good Thief was selected
for the 1987 National Poetry Series. She also co-edited
In the Company of My Solitude: American Writing from the
AIDS Pandemic. She has been a fellow at the Fine Arts
Work Center, Radcliffe's Bunting Institute and has received
grants from the Massachusetts Artists Foundation, St.
Botolph and the National Endowment for the Arts. She teaches
at Sarah Lawrence College and NYU. Her latest book of poems
is What the Living Do. Howe led workshops on the
participants' poetry.
