The San Miguel Poetry Week is designed so that participants can take classes, go to readings, enjoy time to explore San Miguel de Allende and work on their own poems. The week begins January 3, with a welcome cocktail at the Hotel Posada de Las Monjas. Mornings will consist of lectures, small workshops and a writing exercise class. In the evenings, poetry readings by the faculty will be held at Bellas Artes, San Miguel's stunning Fine Arts Institute. There will be a group reading by all the participants on Friday, the last night of the program. Additional afternoon workshops available this year include writing workshops conducted by Jennifer Clement. These sessions are available to participants at an additional cost of $50.00 each. | |
